A taxonomy of CSCW tools 

I’ve applied a taxonomy to my CSCW postings (as seen in Site Navigation).  To get me rolling I’ve used the Taxonomy of Groupware tools identified by David Coleman in Introduction to Groupware (Prentice Hall, 1997).   That taxonomy was prepared 10+ years ago and much has changed, particularly regarding internet/web and mobile tools.  But as the saying goes “the more things change, the more they stay the same”.  So despite the technological advances the underlying fundamentals of the taxonomy may remain the same or similar.  I’ll know towards the end of the course (November 2007)!

POD Work

Some posts in this blog, which also serve as an Online Learning Record (OLR) are related to group activities which have been recorded and compiled into a Pool of Online Dialog (POD) work.
